This weekend august 21st to 23th Distraktion Magazine will be attending the Ottawa Reggae Festival. We are very exited about the event and we are looking forward to bringing you the highlights of the festival. The Ottawa Reggae Festival is back for another year, taking place at Lebreton Flats Festival Park in the heart of downtown Ottawa. This year’s festival will feature live performances by some of the hottest artists, featuring reggae, dancehall, reggaeton, soca, R&B and hip hop and will incorporate a dance and a dub poetry showcase.

The festival begins Friday, Aug. 21 at 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and will run all day Saturday and Sunday from noon to 11 p.m.

The Ottawa Reggae Festival is non-profit, volunteer-driven, three-day music festival which promotes cultural arts and diversity in Canada’s National Capital Region, showcasing international artists while maintaining
75 per cent Canadian content.

The festival is committed to initiating cultural events, encouraging community involvement; provide a family-friendly environment; and reduce the environmental impact by using ecologically sustainable management theory and practices.
